About Us
The 'Busy beaks Box' Dream became reality when managing directors Alexandra and Tina crossed paths in their rescue work, a chance conversation saw the stars align. The ladies frustrated with seeing so many unhappy, unhealthy birds both shared a single vision, something better for their feathered friends, some of whom had stolen pieces of their heart to take to rainbow bridge. Having seen first hand the impact and suffering as a consequence of poor diet, the behavioural issues arising from lack of education and at times loving families struggling to afford the hiking prices of cages, toys and products Busy Beaks Box was formed. The ladies agree fate stepped in so with passion and purpose we bring affordable training, parrot products and healthy diets to improve the lives of all our feathered friends one Busy Beak at a time because we believe
"A BUSY BEAK IS A HAPPY BEAK"
However, the ladies dream continues with the merger of Open Arms Parrot Rescue & Busy Beaks Box to bring you Busy Beaks Bird Rescue where
"REHOMING A PARROT IN NEED IS OUR TOP PRIORITY.

Hi, I hope you are located in the UK. If you're not in the UK, please let me know.
I am worried about a cockatiel. He had a mate, and they were tame. Then, another person took them and didn't interact with the birds, so they were no longer tame when they went to where he currently lives. His mate died a few years ago, he doesn't have a name, and he's in what his current family calls a big cage in the hallway between the 2 homes. It's a large house that has the main part and a granny home connected by a hallway with the front door. The cockatiel is by the front door in the hallway. When I asked for a picture, I was told that would be difficult he'd have to move a lot of items. I talk to the father. His son and 2 grandchildren live in the main house. Everytime he says the boy cockatiel needs to be with another cockatiel his granddaughter, who's autistic, starts yelling, "That will kill him. I know what's best for him!" So he knows the cockatiel should be in a better situation but his hands are tied because his son is very busy and doesn't want to deal with his daughter having a screaming meltdown. I have their address. He's in his 70s. I've asked him to move the bird into his flat but he says the bird gets more interaction with people and the dog in the hallway. I am disabled, on benefits and don't drive. If I could drive or had the money for an expensive taxi ride, I would have tried to get the bird out of there and dealt with the entire family being mad at me. They live about a 3-hour drive away from me in Essex. Do you think you could rescue this cockatiel, or do you only help parrots? I can only have 2 cockatiels according to my rental agreement with my landlord, but my boy Frankie learned to be angry from the girl we bought him for in 2015. I would love to take this boy but Frankie would need a new home with someone who is good with problem cockatiels. I read about one person who has problem male cockatiels but I don't know which country she's in. Please let me know if you can help when you get a chance. Many thanks for reading this message.
I will never buy from you again.
